Smile  newbie saying hello

Hi folks, I thought Id introduce myself. Not really sure where to start though. I ride a 600 bandit and Ive been riding for the past 4 years. I have had an interest in bikes since I was a teenager. The reason I took so long to get my license is because I had 3 children and it simply was not practical to put them all on the back of a motorbike lol. Well, thats about it from me for now, Im sure if you want to know more you will ask.

take care

sbs

RE: newbie saying hello

Thanks for the welcome folks. Im from near Falkirk in Central Scotland. Quite close to the falkirk wheel. I split from my partner of 3 years 5 months ago and Im just trying to rebuild a life for myself. Trying to make new friends to get out and about on my bike with. I love riding my bike but I much prefer to do it with company. The ride itself is a lone thing I know but its kinda cool to stop now and then for a coffee and chat. Perhaps its a girl thing to like to chat? Though I have been known to ride during the winter I much prefer to ride in the spring and summer when its not quite so cold. I love crips fresh winter days when the sun is shining.Icon_lol

RE: newbie saying hello

I have to agree I much prefer out and about with friends. I usually tag along with my brother on short rides when he has some free time and use the cardo headsets to chat as we ride, usually bitching about the cagers driving styles etc Tongue

RE: newbie saying hello

Hi SBS, welcome aboard.

Another Bandit rider here, solo, small group, mass charity ride out, commuting even. I enjoy them all for different different reasons & I ride every day at least to & from work unless there's snow or ice.

I'm not the sort of rider who tries to keep up with the sports bike crowd and dont want to get to the end of a journey having thought about nothing more than braking & turn in points but I ride a little bit quicker than the local cruiser group so I'm often out on my own or if with the faster guys just arrange to meet them at the destination.

You'll meet some good peeps on here, and there's a fair few Scot's so I'm sure you'll manage a ride out if you want too.
