The reason I took so long to get my license is because I had 3 children and it simply was not practical to put them all on the back of a motorbike lol. Well, thats about it from me for now, Im sure if you want to know more you will ask.

I had a ride out with my mate with the trike up to a Harley Owners Group meeting/display yesterday at Chillingham Castle in North Northumberland.

In line with every other Harley rider I've ever met a thouroughly nice bunch of guys/girls.

We parked our Japanese bike & trike well out of the way at the top of the field and were very near to get to a guy who fell off whilst negotiating a short but steep grassy bank into the field. Took quite a tumble and stayed down for a good while

Damn that yank metal is heavy when you have to lift it up from beyond horizontal.

Most of the guys had done a FBOS course and there was also a trained paramedic amongst them so once we had the bike clear of the guy we left them to deal with the rider and didn't crowd the situation. He went off to hospital with a suspected couple of ribs dammaged which further complicated his existing asthma as he couldn't breath deeply enough to take his medication easily.

Hopefully he's OK.

We were made to feel exceptionaly welcome and given the same voucher for free entry into the castle and free tea/coffee from the cafe that they were all given and made to feel a real part of the group.

I even managed to spread a bit of wisdom to a couple of the older guys when they saw my visor covered in wet paper towels softening the fly splatter up, not something either of them had ever considered doing before, guess they passed their tests before tips like that were given out at CBT's.

Another nice day out on the bike, but god the flies!!!

BTW Chelle when they found out I knew you, they've made a special request for the "Sweet Home Jedburgh video " weblink to put on their website :icon_lol:

NORTHUMBERLAND BIKERS EASTER EGG RUN 2009

Well saying as I wasn't going on the ride out with you guys I thought I'd do something for charity.

Kicking and screaming I dragged Big Geordie along too, but he was so pleased he came, what an absoloutely fab experience :icon_cheesygrin:

The start car park was packed solid & overspilling along the quayside & onto adjoining streets. Between 4 & 5 miles of bikes is an awesome sight, as far as the eye could see in both directions

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
All the totals. From the day as below.

Between 550/575 bikes

Eggs 4764.

Winner of most eggs collected was The Kitty Brewster pub with 1482

Total cash to TOMA our charity 1371.34 and still coming in. http://www.tomafund.org/
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I surfed some more & then I found some pictures

Me on the right as you look at the picture & BG following,

Then due to the cunningly placed mirrors and the slim bloke we were hiding behind
You can just about make us out chatting.

Then.......... OMFG....... Big Geordie and I chatting (scroll right)

And here was me thinking black clothes had a slimming effect I think I need to start dieting again.

All in all a superb day out, & I'm having salad for tea again!!!

PS At least I wont get passed by girls, well not on a single track road anyway :icon_lol: Nobody overtakes a wide load on a single track road!!!

Departure video is here Big G & I are at 4:42
